Praying for the protection of Christians in Mozambique

Roland and Heidi   Baker, the apostles of Mozambique, have urgently requested prayers of protection for their Christian brethren in Mozambique. Christians in that country are under attack by vicious Islamic extremists, a local version of Niger’s Boko Haran, the Al Sunnah wa Jama’ah, who come into unprotected villages, burn, rape and kill. There is a serious threat of total war in the northern provinces.

Not only should we pray prayers of protection for the Christians, but I believe that the Church must regain its full authority to pray prayers of “disabling command.” This is modeled by Paul in Acts 13” 8-12, where he disabled the sorcerer Elymes. I have written a blog on this topic with a full discussion of the scripturesz related to this kind of prayer (link HERE).

Here is my prayer of disabling command on the Islamic terrorists of Mozambique. You may wish to add or modify as the Lord directs.

Thank you Lord, for the authority you have given us over the forces that oppose your Church and the Kingdom. We now take authority over the leaders, officers and soldiers of the Al Sunnah wa Jama’ak organization, and place upon them a spirit of confusion, and a spirit of rivalry to make their military plans and excursions ineffective. We bless and ask angles of protection on the Christians in Mozambique, especially those living in the northern provinces. We further ask divine guidance on the officers and soldiers of Army in Mozambique, in its campaign against the terrorists.

For those of you who may not know, the Bakers are truly the Apostles of Mozambique in the full biblical use of the word, and not in its often abused contemporary usage. They have, and are transforming, Mozambique from a run-down, war ravaged Third World country, into a Christian country with order and peace. They have planted thousands of churches, schools and clinics in taht country and throughout Africa.
